Wholesale and retail Black pearls and assorted Polynesian gift items.
When you arrive in Tahiti, you will be overwhelmed with information about black pearls. Some of it is very misleading and can be quite confusing. There are many different "hypes" i.e., X-rays, Official Government Certification, etc. We are happy to educate you on what to look for in a black pearl so that you will be comfortable in your purchase of these magnificent gems.
We are confident that you will like what we have to offer here at our boutique in Bora Bora. In our showroom, you will be treated to a large selection of high-quality black pearls in a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere. We are here to help you find the "right" pearl and are proud to be your source for these beautiful gems.
Americans Steve Fearon and Steve Donnatin, partners in the the Matira Pearls store since 1993, share with you 45 years of cumulative experience in Bora Bora. To provide you with quality assurance, we have a GIA-certified pearl grader on our premises.

"Cyber
Points" & Cafes
The cyber cafe "scene"
on Bora Bora is still very limited, however, it's been getting better over
the years. What most urbanites and travelers take for granted as "cyber
cafes" really haven't existed on any Society Island other than Tahiti
(in Papeete) until just recently. Instead, as the internet began to make
its mark on these islands, "cyber points" began springing up in
random places. Basically, a society island "cyber point" is a
no frills access point to the internet and little else. No ambiance or amenities
offered. Many are located in the backs of shops or in some dark room, and
have the slowest of slow computers... until recently...
It now seems the cyber cafe bug has hit
these islands like it has in every other developing country on earth and
the whole scene is quickly improving. Bora Bora actually has one good
place to get online and surf, check emails, etc, with a little cyber atmosphere
mixed in...
RESTAURANT ALOE CAFE (Coffee Shop and Cyber Cafe formerly known as L' Appetisserie)
Located at the Vaitape shopping center, P.O. Box 189, Vaitape- BORA BORA

Bora Bora's only cybercafe with 3 speedy computers for accessing the internet.
We also have printers, scanners, and webcams available for useage.

(or a cold beer!) - or try our delicious homemade ice cream and wonderful fresh pastries. Also,
we serve excellent breakfasts and lunches.

RESTAURANTS/
DINING / EATING
Because
Bora Bora is rather well touristed, it has a number of eating and dining
establishments. Dining locations can basically be divided between the
restaurants at the various hotels and pensions, and private, non-hotel related
dining.
Cuisine ranges from basic island staples
like fruits and fish dishes to world class French and international cuisine,
prepared by a variety of chefs, some imported directly from Paris! As
with all islands in Tahiti Polynesia, the food is usually delicious, but
you may have to sample different restaurants before you find one that suits
your taste and budget.

"LES
ROULOTTES"
The family run, local food trucks on Bora Bora are known as "les Roulettes"
as they are on the other islands... This is a generic term meaning "rolling
food trucks", and that's exactly what they are... The majority of the
local people dine at these trucks or in their homes. The food is island
food. Pure and simple. Economic and tasty, these are always TST's favorite places
to eat!
