Renewing
Your Marriage Vows
Maohi- Nui's group suggests you renew your wedding vows or wedding anniversary
with a traditional POLYNESIAN MARRIAGE CEREMONY.
The ceremony starts around 5:00 pm and takes place on the beach or a requested
spot by the guests. It will be a decorative setting with coconut trees, palms,
and flowers. The Tahitian Priest, Patrick, conducts the wedding and declares
the husband "tane" and the wife "vahine"- according to
traditional Tahitian culture. Dressed in "pareos" (sarongs) and
baptized with their new tahitian "names", the couples then exchange
flower leis and head crowns. This symbolizes harmony between the couple. They
will then receive a "tapa" which is the sacred certificate. Singing
and dancing will celebrate the union of the couple by sunset. The whole ceremony
lasts about 30 minutes.
Price is $750.00 dollars and includes: Flowers, leis, crowns, decorated setting,
priest services, musicians, dancers, the certificate on the tapa, champagne,
and 2 white pareos.
Note: Couples don't need any administrative papers
or authorization to do this service! E-mail us for details!
